ALOHA Day

ALOHA Day

Every year, ALOHA Day enables all franchisees, students and parents to come together for a grand event. It is a daylong event with competitions, variety shows for children, recognition for teachers and franchisees, student graduations and an awards cer-emony. Students from across centers compete against each other in the Math Olympiad. Students start preparing for the competition 3-4 months prior to the event. In 2007/2008, the Olympiad ended with some interesting and exciting tie breakers amongst the students for declaring winners.

The last couple of years we pushed the limits by doubling the number of questions to 100 for 5 minutes, & the students rose to the challenge. Nonetheless, we had tiebreakers as many kids successfully answered 100 questions in 5 minutes.

The practice session prior to the Olympaid has been very helpful in boosting children confidence level immensely and they tackle advanced levels much more easily. For the year 2011, we are planning the ALOHA day as a day event in a 72,000 sq ft state-of-the-art facility with new exciting shows and programs. We expect 2,000 kids to participate in the Olympaid and expect 25,000 people to attend the event.
